The Barnstaple Audio Heritage Trail will guide you around some of Barnstaple’s most interesting buildings and monuments. Along the way you will hear many fascinating tales that help to piece together the story of a town that is well over 1000 years old.
The trail will take approximately an hour at an easy pace and there are plenty of places where you can take a rest or get refreshments. If you are walking with children activity books are available here to download, or pop into the Barnstaple Heritage Centre at the start of the trail, where the Activity Books are on sale for 10p each.

The activity books were produced by Barnstaple Town Council as part of a Heritage Lottery Funded project centred on the conservation of the Albert Memorial Clock Tower in the Square.
